Choosing Between Repellents & Traps
You decide! Both methods work!
When deciding whether to use mole repellent or mole traps to eliminate your ground moles, there are two questions to ask yourself.
> How much time and effort do you have to put towards eliminating ground moles?
> Do you want to have the ground moles leave a certain area or do you want to kill them?
Mole repellents are easy to use and you do not have to scout ground mole tunnels to determine where best to put the repellent. The down side of repellents is the ground moles may return once the repellent naturally breaks down, which means reapplying the repellent.
Mole traps are a more permanent solution. Once you kill a ground mole, that ground mole is never going to return to haunt your lawn or garden. The down side of traps is you have to track the ground mole activity to determine where best to place the trap and you have to monitor the trap.
Mole baits and poisons are not recommended due to their difficulty to use and the poisonous nature of the products.
